Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Action (SDHA) team joined other partners in tree planting activities held on November 24th, 2018 in Gahanga Sector, Kicukiro Disctrict.
The activity initiated by JICA Alumini Association (JAAR), jointly with SDHA saw other partners including Japanese community spearheaded by Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Rwanda HE TAKAYUKI Miyashita, International Cooperation Agency/JICA represented by Mr Hiroyuki TAKADA and JICA staff members, District officials and local residents.
The Joint- activity SDHA-JAAR aligns well with the recent MoU signed between these two organizations for synergy and cooperation for community development.
Approximately 20 Hectares planted for agroforestry plants for erosion control and soil conservation.
Through messages delivered by JAAR and SDHA, 300 community members who participated in the activity took homework of protecting environment.
