Zero Hunger: Let’s stand up and act together

The world is facing the unprecedented   disaster and many people are struggling to get food.  Figures from World Food Program highlight that 795 million people, one in nine   go to bed on an empty stomach each night while one in three,  suffer from some form of malnutrition.

 The 2030 SDGs ‘Goal “Zero Hunger” calls on ending, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.

The current Climate change effects play great role in the current food insecurity due to disasters such as droughts, heavy rains and so forth. To reach the success of SDG goal 2, countries have to commit themselves by improving livelihoods of communities.

 Despite all this challenges WFP says that there are 216 million fewer hungry people than in 1990-92, despite a 1.9 billion increase in the world’s population. They advise that there is there is still a long way to go, and no one organization can achieve Zero Hunger if it works alone.
